Sony officially announces the NEX-5T, A3000 and 3 new E-mount lenses

perhaps by refering to emount dslr , he means the a3000.

@sje4182 I personally feel the a3000 release is a sensible one. Some people do love the ergonomics of a dslr-like camera and the e mount cameras are not just about the alphabet of the mount but also the format and design of the system. It being a mirrorless apsc system. Many tend to forget that when comparing it with traditional dslrs. Price wise, its considerably affordable as compared to the other nex systems. At only $398usd with a 18-55 kit lens, im sure this was meant for easier access for those who dont wish to splurge so much on a camera system or someone who loves the emount format and what it represents. There's nothing wrong with more system choices in this regard.

Hmmm that's cheap. Ok shall wait till I see the actual thing in the flesh before commenting further. I might end up eating my words and buying one :)

Yes that's right. I bought a nex due to the size too and as a concession, lived with the limited choices of e mount lens (without using adapter). If I was willing to carry a full size dslr then I would buy an A mount body so that can use full range of a mount lenses (which e mount doesn't have).

So who would buy a (relatively) big dslr body yet choose one which is using e mount thereby not being able to use a mount lens natively.

Hope I am clear.

I use M-mount, F-mount, CY-mount, and others on my NEX. The size of the lens doesn't matter; the quality is what counts
