Sony next move ?

This could an opportunity for Sony to jump into DSLR market. With sony's expertise in CCD + laser AF, Contax's SLR technology, Zeiss's optics combined I'm sure they can come-up with breakthrough product.

I hope the new owner will maintain the legendary "Contax" brand name.

maybe the DSLR market is not as profitable as the comsumer digicams. :dunno:

IMO, most pro will not want a Sony as main tool. It is afterall an consumer electronics company, or my way of saying, electronic gadget company.

What if Sony will be the first to produce a D-SLR with all these features

1. Live LCD view
2. Optical Stabliser
3. NightShot / Hologram AF / Night Framing
4. Swivel & tilt screen or like F828 design, a swivel body

Would people be tempted? I believe all these features can be possible all at once, just no camera company is willing to try (so not to be laughed at).

That is quite obvious. DSLR=Special interest/Professional. Smaller market. Consumer.....BIG!
