Sony NEX-VG10

Zooming in this camera will be kind awkward though...will need practice. It's not just a matter of pushing/pulling a tiny button anymore. It's adjusting the friggin lens.

Tripod. Period.

I wonder with alpha adaptar, can the older Minolta lenses be use. The older lenses has less contact pins

If the primary purpose of this camera is to take videos, why would someone using it want RAW? Good to have but not absolutely necessary is the way I see it... anyway hte buffer required for RAW would be have to be much much larger and that would add to the cost and complexity of the already complicated electronic wizardry in this camera would be my uneducated guess... on the other hand, Sony often thinks it knows what's best for each segment of consumers it defines for itself... so that might be all there is to it... expect a more advanced model to follow up in 6-12 months time though... there's money to be made at this level...

that is what I said. They cripple this entry level video cam in terms of raw to as to introduce another model later on.

I think the buffer required for Full HD video is probably higher than raw photos. Even a 3 raw shot buffer would be good enough.
