Typically is about 100 from price set by Sony. Go Sony website and see the price lo.
You can do a sweep with a lens with low distortion at high shutter speed or you can opt for a 12mm CV lens. Manual focusing is much easier than you think on a wide angle lens especially if your focus is on landscape and buildings.
B&S also have good prices ...
From what I notice, even in B&S, all sold out liao. Don't know who is going to sell again.

Just wondering if anyone experiment with the HDMI port? From an international site I learnt that you get live view even while photographing, haven't tried it as I do not own the cable. This means that potentially, a view finder can be built. Power from the flash connection and data from the hdmi. What does everyone think? Possible?
If you are doing that can you get sony to update firmware so that you can in-corporate a sensor to switch LCD off when looking through the view-finder. Just like the A55.

Bought my NEX5 recently with both kit lens. Got it for $1199 from MS Color. They threw in one Lowepro Adventura 140 bag and a 8gb Memorystick.
They are cheaper than Harvey Norman or Best Denki or Courts, but not the cheapest in town. SLR revolution and Bally Photo at Funan both quoted lower prices (even after taking into account freebies), but I have gotten my last 3 cameras from MS Color, and really really like their service and reliability, so went back to them.
Been loving my NEX5 so far :thumbsup:

For the NEX5 stock lenses, I want to get UV Filter as I have some beach event soon, need to protect the lens, which brand to get ? Hoya ? Or tokina is ok ? And how much will that be ?
I also intend to get a proper tripod, but prefer the cheaper one.... any idea where to get economical but good one ? So confused when I walk in to a camera shop....

Would suggest hoya hmc uv filter. Price is around 15-20 Sgd
Same here just brought my nex-3 dual lens package from ms color 2days ago. Havent really play with it yet just hope there will be more (cheaper) lens coming out~. By the way can the more senior nex user create a "nex user photo gallery" to display their beautiful photos to share thus allowing newbie (like me) to learn. Cheers~
