actually if u see Sony NEX5 adv, it mention, "DSLR Quality in your hands"
meaning even Sony is saying this is not a DSLR (but i will always refer nex5 as entry level dslr)

the body cap does not define NEX5. The cam itself does.

we have the same reason for wanting the body caps which come with every other system that support interchangable lenses... to cover the body/sensor when no lens is attached! hehehe

Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3 do not support Sony NEX's ARW at the moment. Wait a month or so more for that.
And if you don't have CS5 then you can forget it too as Adobe do not make it a point to support RAW conversion of newer cameras on their older versions of Photoshop.

Meanwhile, you may want to try out for free Oloneo's PhotoEngine which does support NEX 3 & 5's raw format.

Nope. Not in SG. Nearest place u can get the 16mm kit is at Malaysia Sony style.

Even until now CS4 still does not support the new ARW.
Its accompanying software is too troublesome... got to convert file by file to TIFF or Jpeg.
No batch processing.
Somehow Adobe will usually come out with new RAW updates.
It's only a matter of time, I believe.

went comex and browsed the offers just now
for nex-5, same pricing(1199 for 18-55mm lens only i think and 1299 for dual kit), comes with 16gb memory card and camera bag.
what i heard is that normally outside they give 8gb memory card.
not really a good deal though, was looking forward to some great deals and considering to buy, but dropped the idea after looking at the offer:cry:
