Anyone bought 49mm filter for your NEX? The front glass on the 18-55 looks like a wide-angle lens to me and when I close the lens cap. It give me a feeling that the cap will touch the front glass.

Defocus only work in Intelligent Auto mode. Do you happened to be in the wrong shoot mode?

Actually, i realised defocus is just a change of aperture.
U can do that in Manual mode too

I looked around man but didn't see anything suitable. He suggested end of the month where he said more stuff will come for the series. Till then, hold the NEX tight tight.

weirdly for those shooting in raw, no one checked the accompanied CD in the package? it has sony utility to read the RAW file. else you've gotta just wait for Adobe's camera raw update.

after zooming to the max and setting defocus to the max, the background is still in great focus? shall i stand further or nearer to the subject? Any pro can help?

You should be nearer to subject and keep background further from subject.

thanks if i have a few object place near each other, is it possible to just focus on one and make e rest blur by using the kit lens or do i need special lens?

For those who are using Bibble 5 Pro or are considering getting it, the latest version 5.1 now supports the NEX Raw format... the first third party Raw Converter to do so.

just a check locally no shop carry somethng similar for nex5 (bodycap), also can anyone advise for the lens cap for 18-55 not the front but the back part?

Anyone has autofocus problem? I found my nex-5 cannot focus when i change to A or P mode. It seems ok if i use iAuto mode.

check ur focus setting under the camera icon. either AF, M OR DMF (Meaning auto already and u can fien tune with manual )

just test is fine
