Sony Nex system just not pro enough?

Hi, I am previously a nex 5 user, now I own nex 7. So far I am ok with it except the ugly in-camera flash and the noise level in low light.
I see that many people are selling nex body or lens in the marketplace.
Some even advertise to sell it after 1 day!
Is it because sony nex just not good enough to be used in professional setting?

And I wonder about how most people blame the camera when they meet certain limitations.

E-Mount Lenses not "pro" enough, true, due to the lack of variety, but sony did offer the option of using an adaptor for their A-mount lenses to be used on Nex.
So if you are not happy with just E-Mount lenses, then an adaptor is the way to go.

Nex also allow the use of other manual lenses with appropriate adaptor, so if you still find the variety of A-mount lenses lacking, you still have this option to fool around with.

Coming from PnS system, I think Nex is pretty decent, I see some of my shots comparable to those pictures taken from any DSLR other than those really pro dslr with very pro lenses, guess the man behind the camera might make the difference sometime, haha
Na..They are just not going to stop.. hard to please.

Go A mount? - No OSS.. very big and heavy on the front..
Adapter expensive...
(on the other hand..even DSLT people are ranting not enough variety of A mounts too..)

Use other mounts... NO AF... etc etc
and the list goes on. lol..

your last line.. Take away the might and not sometime but all the time.

Work within limitations but NEX system by itself is good enuff to be considered semi pro kinda camera. Just need the good lenses and of coz a good photographer and u can take great pics in most situations...

i should really post up some images from the NEX-7.

but then again... i'm too lazy to.

they were all shot on Manual + LA-EA2.

i also covered some company events with the NEX-7. my boss wasn't too happy, but it's the result that counts. and considering the fact that i'm still in my job...

:bsmilie:

I currently shoot with a 5N dual lens kit + 18-200SEL and also a 5DMk2 (used). 75% of the time, it is the 5N is take out with me. The DSLR is only taken out for serious work/ shooting assignments where I want better AF, DOF and even then I usually carry the 5N at the same time. In terms of noise, I find the 2 systems quite close for the indoor lighting shoots I do. The 5N has the advantage of trick modes like hand held twilight that the DSLR does not. My main beef with the Nex is AF. Other than that, it really performs very well. I'm not a pro... the assignments are for church events and almost always indoors meaning low light levels. Flash photography is usually not allowed- hence my choice of these 2 cameras...

That may be the reason why some people ended up selling their Nex,

after getting everything, they find out that it'll be better if they sell it and get a dslr instead

hmm, but i guess in terms of portability, nex is still better than dslr
