Dunno if you guys are interested but i came across a shop in Funan today selling the NEX-5 with either lens kit for S$1099.
Cheaper by S$100 BUT no S$399 voucher with option to buy 2nd lens at S$99, mind you. And this is after PC show so i don't know if its a good deal or not.
I bought mine during the PC show and got a 8GB card, camera bag, and the voucher.

the guy gave me some dowdy camcorder bag which can be used for it i guess. Am currently using my camper bag which i had my old alpha a200 cam in. wait till i buy a better lens in near future then can change bag.
apparently, sony japan website got nice cases for it. But i can't read Jap and Google Translation can only do so much

It's a $300 voucher and not $399 voucher and it's given by Sony Singapore for all purchases of the NEX 5 kits regardless of what price the dealers charge. I got mine for $1090 with the $300 voucher.

strongly agree that the launch is pathetic...
the voucher is not of an offer at all.. if i get the dual lens kit for nex5 is 1299.. now single lens is 1199+99 = 1298... jus a dollar more ex...
Whoa...Sounds like the shop is going to 'makan' the voucher, redeem another 18-55 or 16mm for $99 to sell at $399 later.
Any idea when is the spare lens coming in? For those getting the set, the 16mm pancake is soft in the side even if you go up to f8-9, not a good lens, saw the sample picture of 18-55mm seem to be better.
But this is a really interesting camera, using it for a day or 2 you should be able to master the setup.
Just wish the update can customise the button for changing ISO.

Just bought my Nex-5 at Harvey Norman Funan at the standard $1199. Quite happy with the freebies... 2 MS Pro Duo cards, a dry box, tripod, card reader and a sony camera case (not the Nex case.. but at least it's a sony case

Sony's website indicated $1299 for NEX5 with both lenses; that's just $100 more for the 2nd lens. Is this a good deal if I don't want any of the freebies?

As far as I know, the dual lens system is not available yet and for now, you get a sony voucher to purchase the 2nd lens at $99 which kinda works out to be $1 cheaper than $1299.
