Vimeo having problems, watch from the link above first.
Hi Jason, I think FS-100 is not here or there. However i think it is ok for a events person. At high F stops outdoor, it is just like my old EX1 minus the rocker zoom. Comparing to AF100, i would be leaning towards FS100 based on the specs as the most important thing to me is the sensor size. AF-100 is good, but the crop factor limits the use of wide lens which is important for wedding shooter. SNR is something which i would be interested to compare too since we operate a lot in dim ballroom lighting. Its tough after being spoilt by all the sexy prime lens ay???

the draw of the fs100 is that super 35 CMOS sensor which is the same as on the F3....

nice review.

I was just wondering if the NEX lenses are good enough for this FS100, 35mm sensor, because NEX3 and NEX5 are APS-C sensors cameras after all.

I am comparing on the basis on putting a Nikon DX lens on a FX camera.
can please enlighten?

Folks, some nice folks updated me that there were some typos and Sony clarified some stuff (video will be uppdated)
1. There IS an onboard speaker! (funny but i couldnt find it, too dark probably)
2. The S35 is 2.6x BIGGER than a 4/3" (now that is cool)
3. Some typos like the frame rate was reversed for slowmo and fastmo
4. The aperature settings in the video at some pts were wrong.

vickee, do you mean the crop frame issue? I guess Sony had taken into account of that already.. In fact i'm thinking that could be the reason why they could not fit ND filters internally. I guess a 35mm DX lens would have a crop factor. Pity i didnt have a chance to try it out with Canon lens.

Not forgetting you can get a wide angle if you are using the same lens comparing to the Panasonic AF102. My experience with the AF102 is the grain.... a lot more than usual.
