Sony Nex 5 or Samsung NX10

Someone told me that Samsung NX10 video recording for 1080i have duration restriction.. (cannot exceed xx mins) also, with the new firmware for NEX 5, we can customize soft keys to suit individual usage behavior

I have sold my DSLR A700 as I seldom use due to weight and size ..since I mainly go for business traveling..still heart-pain about selling that one away..sighz..got to be practical and let go

Would like to seek professional advise on comparing Nex 5 and NX10

Initially thinking of getting Nex 5 but after trying NX10.. the feel seem to be more solid (maybe i so used to DSLR) but Samsung this brand seem not "camera brand" and very little user as compare to Sony..

After extensive search in web.. there is mixed reviewed..some say NX10 better and vice versa.. Since I always in this thread with all professional around...

Can give me some professional advise..especially Minolta old Bird... I am still a Minolta fan in heart!

The Nex-5 simply does everything with the possible exception of huge flash photography. The Nex LCD is unmatched and allows for incredible manual focus. The nex can take any lens. The interface is actually great for manual use, with v3 firmware.

And the nex is very very sexy.

+ Very sharp Swivel LCD and great color rendition
+ Lower noise in high ISO
+ Smaller size
+ 7 fps
+ Handheld Twilite, 3D Sweep Panoramic mode
+ Better video recording capability (1080i)

NX-10
+ Rock solid body and better ergonomics than NEX-5
+ The best battery performance for mirrorless camera !
+ EVF included (Great plus for shooting under very shiny environment)
+ Natural color reproduction
+ Regular ISO 519 Flash shoe..

If you still Minolta Fans.. go for NEX-5..
IF you want something different.. NX10 is your choice..

Hi All,

Thank for the advise..Have visited MS and my fate is seal..after looking thru NX10, Nex5 and Alpha 33.....My final verdict is NX10 - nice picture (of cos cannot compare apple to apple to my beloved alpha 7), fast burst, buttons and nice solid feel of body...and slim enough with pancake len..not to mention the price..

Thank you once again...anyway..I still have my dynax 7 so I still in Sony/Minolta club..haha!!

Hello, I was using pentax kx previously but jumpship to Sony nex 3. because the weight for kx is rather heavy, imma female. So it's pretty heavy to bring it ard, ESP if I want to take self pics w my friends, kx gives my hand a hard time. Was practically shaking cuz its heavy.

After getting nex 3, my prob are solved :] The quality Nv fails me n the weight is awesome :] btw, I only use pancake lens to take self pics.

on the NEX Battery. btw, there's always a way to change the color of your NEX. not sure but i think some sellers offer the sticker to paste over. (or you could use a permanent paint marker HAHA)

nowadays I see xmms carrying heavy and bulky dslr. Think that times are changing
