Yes, you can buy it at SLS. As long as you can plug it into your PC and on your cam, you can use either the "DISC BURN" button on your cam's dock to force sync the cam to your PC (as the normal way after plugging in is via the LCD, which is spoilt now). Thereafter you can download the footages before sending the cam for repair.
There could be 2 problems with the LCD. Firstly, the screen is spoilt and need replacement (think about $300+ from Sony) or the cable connecting the LCD that need replacement (think $80+ from Sony), and of cos you need to pay some additional fee, as most probably your cam is out of warranty.
