Sony DSC-T1 Tripod Solution?

I built my own tripod mount for les than $5.00. Not the most beautiful piece of art, but functional. From the local walmart I purchased a "SpillMaster EURO JUNIOR" (http://www.hopkinsmfg.com - search under cupholders) - $3.84. Then from the art and crafts section I purchased a "Darice FOAMIES Sheet" (http://www.darice.com - search for '1144-12' ) - $.033. From hardware I got some Bulldog MS-110 Machine Screws with nuts (these are 1/4 -20 diameter, any should work, just need a nut that will attach to a tripod .... correct threads :-> ) - $0.83

I cut and glued the foamie sheet to the inside vertical sections of the spillmaster to provide cushion and "grip" for the camera. I then superglued a nut to the bottom of the spillmaster.

So far their are only two problems. First I think I need better superglue or a better method to connect the nut to the spillmaster. Second, the DSC-T1 fits nicely inside the spillmaster, but needs to be turned a little to prevent the side of the spillmaster from appearing in the picture - not really a big issue, just something of which to be aware.

It's made by Sunpak it's called the Versipod.It's a tripod for mini cameras and camera cell phones. I have the DSC-t1 and found this at fry's electronics today. It only holds the camera vertically but you can tell by the pictures i attatched the tripod can swivel to take horizontal pictures. They sell it for ONLY $13.95. Shipping is about $5.00. It works great, the case that comes with it is close to worthless though but who cares. And the clamping unit can be attatched to a larger tripod with no problems.

Sorry for the whole review, but I was excited to find it.

I got mine from the Fry's Electronics in Garland Texas, they have 13 more from what they told me.
