Sony Cybershot WX-1

Just bought one @ $530.00 with 8Gb MS Pro Duo and Sony case.

It is really impressive. Can we have more samples of high ISO shots? :P
iso 3200 at 120mm equiv. handheld twilight mode resized. :)

wahhhhhhhhhhh . soooooo coool. but this camera's macro only 5cm.

how much is that going to cost?

my T100 macro 1cm. love it to the bone.:D

This little gem is really impressive.

At first I didn't like my Wx1's output straight out of camera...still dont, but now I know all you have to do is add a little sharpening and contrast post processing and it's really good!

well after contrast post processing and sharpening.. your photos looks like those directly straight out from the camera of F200EXR... i simply dun have time to process photos manually. ;)

It's not that hard. I just put my pics all in one folder and use a batch picture conversion program to do it all in one automated action. No big deal.

Vs. F200exr I had no interest in it because no HD video especially no zooming HD video that the wx1 has. I also didn't like that it has reduced size to 6mp for high iso mode.

Here's something more impressive with low light. The wx1 has a mode called handheld twilight mode. Takes a whole series of pics then merges them to process out noise.

Here is a shot of a dark hallway approximately as the eye see's it.

Here is using handheld twilight mode +2 ev. I think it bumps it to iso 3200 then smoothes it out in processing.

Your F200 can't do this technique can it? I think the fuji F70 can do it but not as good because it has less amount of shots.

Bro, nice pics you have got.

BTW, dun bother arguing with him as he is a die-hard-core F200 frantics....he is out here to bash WX1 all the way...though his ID has been restored recently. :thumbsd:

Woah! I have to say I am pretty impressed by the WX-1 ISO performance!

looks good!

what's the best price being offered now in the shops? thx.

Very impressive photos!! wonder the TX-1 can achieve close... I really like the Tx-1 form factor.. but no f/2.4 :(
Any idea how much TX-1 if WX1 can get $530... hmmm...

some panaromic fun.
SNIP*

Yo digdub, what's the size limit for panos? I notice all the sweeping panos are the same size (aspect ratio also)... is there a fixed size or can you choose? Another question - can you pan in vertical/portrait mode?

The quality of the shots look pretty impressive... none of the fuzziness associated with small sensor cameras especially at high ISO... so tempted to dump all my PnS (got 2) and grab this one...

The size is fixed at 4912x1080 for pano.

You can pan either vertical (up or down) or horizontal (left or right).
