from what i hear.. if you wanna get the 850, might as well get the 900...

Also does anyone here use a right angle viewfinder?? Just wondering if we use one on the alpha body do we need to turn of the viewfinder sensors?

Why "might as well"?

The $1+K difference in price is nothing to sneeze at. Unless you have a specific need for the extra 2% viewfinder coverage and 2fps faster capture rate, I'd say the opposite: If you want the A900, might as well get the A850.

Not available in SG. Likely it was bought overseas.

The angle finder works fine for the alpha DLSR's at landscape mode. In portrait orientation you might need to turn off the eye-sensor on bodies that allows you to turn off. Else you can just DIY a simple deflector with a small piece of aluminum foil.
