Sony like v limit choice...
Minolta, only 35-105 n 28-135 is gd. both is quite difficult to find already
CZ 16-80, out of budget atm.

What recommendation will you guys give?

atm, have the 16-50/F2.8 & 35/F1.8 only
I am a more landscape person but gd to hav a portrait lens. Tried my fren 70-210 Beercan, but i only like the 70mm.

My 1st night shot with A77 and it happens during my family vacation and no tripod lolz, its hard to shoot with family around waiting... so didn't manage to shoot a lot, mostly family pix =) but I am happy as kids love he trip and enjoy the food!

Good start.

you have a focus magnifier button. use manual focus, then press the focus magnifier button. it should be inside your manual on how to activate and use it.

what it'll do is to magnify the portion selected to ensure that it's sharp in focus.

Plus, don't forget that the maybank words can easily overexpose in a scene like this. Try the built-in HDR mode too. And straighten your horizon! You have a built-in leveler, there's no real excuse for crooked shots like this.

Yeah, I guess it's in focus like everything else and it's simply overexposed coz it's too bright.

One thing I picked up while shooting the Xmas video is Tt u can't be too stingy with the aperture. The way light 'expands' when off focus can result in not so sharp looking shots so yeah

Does anyone know if a65 has also resolved the video recording heating issue?

Onced watched sony product presentation and they mentioned A77/65 and NEX7 max vid recording is 29mins regardless of temperature. I have not tried it yet on my A77 :-)

Overheating issues has been resolved from a33/55 as the new sensor circuitry uses less power which improves the heat dissipation and image stabilisation during video now is software based instead of the hardware one used only for photos.

Using the HDR function of Sony A65/CZ1680
