i miss that scene...pai said:thanks, good to have your opinion on this.
hart and i both don't use continuous autofocus, so we weren't really sure whether faster or not
too bad we couldn't go for the same session... did your one have the "fireworks" shooting from the stage also?
eow said:the af is noticeably faster....tested and confirmed using my 28-70mm f2.8 G
able to af lock in area of low contrast.(black patent shoe & pants)
able c-af on moving subject under dim lighting without losing focus.
To test for speed? or compatitibility(i dun think it will be an issue..as it still very much the minolta mount)AncientMariner said:Interesting. It would be more so if they revived the 400f4.5 and 600f4.
Anyone tried it with 3rd party lenses?
Bro try yr slowest lens on the alpha ..u be pleasantly surprisetankm said:Thanks guys for all your opinions.... look like worth taking a closer look.

no...saving up for the cow zeiss lens first:devil:tankm said:Have you put in your pre-order ? :bsmilie:
Plan to use tamron 11-18 to test exposure at wide (on the 5D always underexpose by 1 stop), Sigma macro to test compatibility and the new sensor, and some "old" Minolta lens maybe the 70-210 f4 on AF speed.
The product spokeman confirmed that the dro only work on Jpeg onlypai said:ok, here are the DRO test pictures. i didn't have a tripod with me, and the conditions were not really ideal for a test. i let the camera set the white balance, metering etc. take a look and draw your own conclusions...

one last thing... i can't be absolutely sure, but it seems the DRO really only works in jpg. i tried shooting in RAW and RAW+JPG, and the pix definitely don't have the same kind of effect. pity, since the processed raw pix are much nicer than jpgs straight from camera.
.
Nice shots bro  , I am amazed, like you are doing a product shots for Sony :sweat:Agetan said:yeah, better but I think they oversold the idea.
Oh by the way, I loaded up somemore photos for the conference.
