think 300d iso 1600 is the same as Km5d iso400
some samples taken from km5d at various iso
all 100% cropped and saved at 90%jpeg quality
This is an undeniable fact since canon camera uses CMOS instead of CCD. The downside is the loss of sharpness and details ........... 2 cents
