No leh , I click onthe link I posted , and click on download, my chrome downloads it immediately. Did you try clicking on the link ?

when i clicked on the download button after confirming the T&Cs, a new window popped up and was blank. but afterwards the download window opened.

you should call up their call center for assistance. don't just complain on the forum.

If you are using IE,maybe try Chrome or Firefox . I abandoned IE for a very long time. Cheers

are you on Singnet ADSL? I had this problem before also... what i did was VPN to my office and I coulod resolve the download page it could be routing issue from our ISP or something might happen in between. My Compant network routes from both SH and ST... Try to ping the website see if your PC could resolve it or do a tracert from command prompt so you'll see where the problem is.

I think i found the problem it could be the IE9 causing the problem

Try downloading from this page and follow the below instructions

SLT-A77 Firmware Upgrade (Microsoft Windows) : Download : Sony Singapore

if you're using IE9 once you click the download icon it will open another tab it'll be blank let it load until it's done and the broken page appears as per below sample. Click the broken page icon (compatibility icon) tab and it will pop-up the download window

actually i think that's compatibility view. for pages that only work with older versions of Windows. this allows newer versions of windows to read the site properly

Oh yeah when I was writing my post I can't remember what it called but this is what happen to my IE9 when I open the link.... So when I press the compatibility icon the download screen pops up and I can download the fw.

Was hoping others might have the same issue and the walk around I've shown could help.

thanks bro done mine when it was initially release in alpharumors and it was a great upgrade even if it doesnt include any IQ upgrade but the power up/down and auto preview are welcome upgrade for all A77 users

yup i'm on singnet... My office got no VPN lei.... haiz...shall go try again tonite... i went to Sony service centre just now and the guy said if still cannot i can just bring a thumbdrive and they will download and save it for me....

It is very responsive and as fast as A850, not sure you guys have the following issues:

1. All my lenses (except Sigma 50mm f1.4) needed no micro adjustment in fw1.04, after upgrading, both that I tried earlier (Sony 16-50 & Tamron 90mm) needed hefty adjustment of +20 and +15. It is still not very accurate, guess have to do more tuning. With 16-50, it is difficult to focus with the outer AF areas and it keeps hunting.

Anyone find the AF engagement speed (ver1.05) is much poorer than ver1.04 when focus on fine thin-line/words/letters?
or difficult to focus/cannot get focus even on the 11cross AF sensors and it keeps hunting ...

HI,

Not too sure anyone else encounter this issue that I had, when update to 1.05.
I was unable to update the firmware when my A65 is plug to my USB 3.0 port.
Plugging it into my 2.0 port, it runs without any issue.
