Mezmerizing shot!
Beautiful lady, pleasant bokeh, so rich colors.

The SMC Takumar 55/1.8 is certainly one of the best cheap 50's around.

Thank You. I'm new to legacy lens. I'm hunting for something 85-135mm now. What would be ideal? Tair? Canon FD?

FD 85mm F1.2L! A couple of my friends are also happy with the Pentax 135mm f2.5

No bad choices imo.
Just make sure you look around at samples of the characteristics of the lens.

Canon FD is a cheap choice and usually optically good.
However, its colours come out rather cool imo.

Why not go for a M42 mount series since you already have the SMC Tak 55/1.8?
That way, you don't need to manage too many adapters.
They are also not too expensive and forms up an interesting 'set' of lenses.
There's the Super Takumar 85/1.9 and the Super Takumar 135/2.5
Plenty of others too like CZJ, Meyer Optik Gorlitz, Pentaxcon, Zeiss, etc

I've heard and seen nice shots with the Tair.
Only caution is that with the Russians, they are really full of character and often can be harder to use in a wide range of situations.
With that, I mean, off centre sharpness at larger apertures and flare resistance.
There is certainly a steeper learning curve to them imo, as compared to the legacy Jap lenses (which I would term 'more reliable' in most situations.
I don't have the Tair, though I do have a few Russian lenses.

If you intend to mix and match legacy lenses, then the World is your oyster.
Though in my own experience, its probably better to keep to within 2 adapter types on a trip.

I tested only one shot with these two lenses when I still have it. You can check this one I uploaded on Flickr. I will try to check whether I still have the raw of these files. :)

Thanks! That'll be great. Tried looking for raw samples online but can't find any.

I'm more interested in checking out how much differences, if any, they render colors. Cause I edit my photos and would like to gauge how much I can accept.
