The A7 body is so small the 35mm 1.4L is a total behemoth when coupled with it..

Yes, it is a great place for sunset shots. I was there in the afternoon to try out a bunch of M and R lenses. I am impressed with the DR. I could pull out a great deal details from the shadow areas by exposing for the highlights. I have not done any comparison, but it appears to have better DR than my M240.
