Hi Thoth.. the above images were shot in RAW or Jpeg? I find the Jpeg seems better than RAW on my A7. Not sure if its normal. Even after LR adjustment the jpegs are pretty good

I don't seem to see this mentioned, but there is a EOS>E mount helicoid adapter that I think is worth a look. (easily found on ebay)
Its basically an adapter with built in extension tube, so all lens get a close up ability when using it.

The above 2 shots are taken with a typical 50mm and 35mm respectively and the adapter made going in much nearer possible without a fuss.

Interesting adapter.. makes near focusing possible.

some long exposures shot this evening

SEL 10-18 @ 12mm. 30 secs exposure with Haida 10 stop ND filter

next up some candids . 135 ZA

having long hair. always a problem on windy days

low light candids testing the ability of the lens and laea4

few last cuties to end the day. 135 za

With the helicoid adapter again.
Almost a 'must have' the more I play with it.
Its more commonly used for RF lenses to close up the min focus distance (often 0.7-1m), but with the SLR lens version of the adapter, it adds close up ability thats enough for most walkabout and tour situations.
Sort of "Admire the landscape and then close in on the flowers" which never needs 1:1 macro but often needs to be closer than what the lens offers natively.
