Sure buddy. Going for outing later so can post more.

Definitely a lens worth waiting, as this will be a keeper for me. My sharpest 50mm, though I already have a few manual 50mm lenses.

Bokeh quality is very close to my 50lux, yet sharper with AF. Cost is less than a quarter. Where to find?

U damned jialat bro... alwayz praise a lens until I heart itch itch wanna buy... KNS la U... :(

I never bluff you one. This one really good. One of the best lens that I have bought. Only few lenses that could maximise the A7R resolution. If you are upgrading to A7R, you can sell your other lens to fund this.

Bokeh is super smooth, not busy but creamy shiok type and lens is extremely sharp. Extremely. Can cut durian.

How sharp is the G90. Pretty sharp. Here's an untouched OOC JPEG and a 100% crop

Ha...would love to try out the 55/1.4 Sonnar -- if I'm allowed to have one luxury purchase for 2014, this will be it!

Tried Otus 55 f1.4. Very fine lens and definitely one lens to own.

But think too heavy and imbalanced for a A7/R.

On the otherhand, the native Sony Zeiss 55FE is alot lighter and very balanced on the A7/R, yet IQ is very close to that of the Otus. Comes with AF too, and only cost a quarter of the Otus.

Both are the best 55mm lens to keep. For using with other systems such as nikon, worth it to buy the Otus, but if Sony is the only system, then 55FE is the best buy for now. Think it is better than 35FE to me, though slightly more expensive than 35FE.

agree with ZoomZ hehe. FE 55 1.8 is a very good performer

55FE is permanently on my A7R as no need to use adapter with my 50lux liao.

35FE has been staying in my drybox since the arrival of my 55FE!

Yeah... poisoned once again... too poor to buy the Otus 55/1.4... getting the FE 55/1.8 instead... :bsmilie:

You where got poor.

Otus for you also can lah.

Just that 55FE more practical with almost similar IQ with AF, and sharper than any other 50mm-55mm.

The extra cash buy your 35lux FLE?

Hahaha.
