A7 + CV 21 f/1.8 This lens is really really sharp.. even at wide open (i am now start to appreciate MF legacy lens) :) for original size pls click the image no editing or sharpening or whatsoever.. all photos straight OOC jpeg F 1.8 http://www.flickr.com/photos/gusdianto/11253877786/ either F2 or F2.8 http://www.flickr.com/photos/gusdianto/11253853624/ no HDR http://www.flickr.com/photos/gusdianto/11254385656/ with built-in HDR http://www.flickr.com/photos/gusdianto/11253920573/

Very sharp wide open...

The CV lenses are working really well with the A7s

Yes it is..

Initially I was thinking it would be wasted not to fully utilize the A7s features with all the MF lens.. But after play around and getting used to it.. I start to appreciate it very much..
I am contemplating to add more quality MF lens to my arsenal :)

Thanks ;)

Hehe... hopefully... macro is "harder" work compared to birding and landscape :P
But, yes I will attempt to do more and this setup is alot lighter than dslr setup and can handhold relatively easily. And peaking helps a great deal in MF too!

Cheers!

Great shots! Take it out for a spin more often!

In fact, I bet if you visit that same flower a couple of days from now, you'll find a well-fed lizard lurking in the area! ;)

Really nice photos! Though the planes in focus still look a bit blurry.

you should really give the SEL10-18 a serious look then. no color casts on the a7/r and almost as wide as the CV12mm. Only downside is more distortion near the edges, but is correctable quite easily in adobe CS/LR. saw my samples one/two pages before? no distortion correction done on those images (didn't really need any) apart from the MBS shot.

usable from 12-16mm with no modification needed. If you remove the 3 screws on the back and remove the rear lens baffle, no vignetting even from 16-18mm. A very useful lens on full frame from 12-18mm.

Thanks for the sharing . The lens hood would not be usable on the sel 10-18 when mounted on A7/R correct ? Have you tried any filter yet to gauge any further vignette ?

Quite impressed with the capabilities of the kit lens with a7 in low light. For most casual users or holiday shooting its all most people would ever need in a lightweight package.

the 1st 2 shots are very nice! thanks for sharing ;)

Great shot bro.... what adapter u used? Errr how heavy the setup?

currently using a hawk's factory heilcoid adaptor, but any good solid adaptor will work. the 75 1.8 is a pretty light and small lens with the a7.

this was taken about a week back
