Lens compensation first ... it really works. At least to a point where we can safely PP and have acceptable results. ;-)

There is a loss of sharpness with the app compensation. Something to bear in mind. Very slight loss though.

hahaha one can have more than 1 variant of a 50-55mm lens. still can count me in for any good deal!

or get a copy of the sigma 30mmm F2.8, or better still BBB the Zeiss FE 35 2.8.

If you don't have a 50mm lens yet, this is the lens to get and will stop your itch for other 50mm lens - superb bokeh, extreme sharpness, yet balanced on a A7/R.

If you have other 50mm manual lenses, don't touch this 55FE or you may end up divorcing (selling) them and just keep this 55FE.

55FE is a safe bet. No poison.

Real poison is the Otus 55mm. This one cuts any durian.

Otus is like 4 times the price of the FE 55/1.8... Haha... I dun need to cut durians every other days. FE 55/1.8 is a good everyday use lens... the other 50s can keep for special use... if u need the f/1.2 and wider that is...
