No problem! Shot in RAW then slight edit in photoshop...nothing fancy actually...

Thanks for sharing. I dropped by the Sony showroom and tried the three new lenses (24-70, 35, and 55). With the bright aperture, the noise seems better controlled?

Feeling strange. When it was first launched, the sony a7r w the 28-70 was with horrible noise.

Did they update their firmware or something?

There was a firmware upgrade. Sony claims to "improve image quality" although I havent digged deep enough to see where the improvement came from.

Currently pairing a7r with the 28-70 as well. Have no issues with noise out of expectation....only feel its a far cry from the fe55.

Not a hardcore shooter though so perhaps experienced shooters can chip.:)

Using the 2870 with the a7r too when i need versatility...Havent seen much difference prior the firmware upgrade and after the firmware upgrade. Imo, Noise has always been well controlled with ooc images. Took this photo at a really dark area of the aquarium and images all seem fine to me. Posted these images a few weeks back but thought it would be a good example of the kit lens with the a7r in low light.

Thanks for the update :)

cool what was the setting?

Can't remember exactly, but I think it set 35mm f/2 ISO6400 with each exposure around 5-6seconds, and about 1 second between exposures.
It was supposed to be 900 shots, but after about 650 or so, there were too many clouds, and my friend had photobombed a few frames, so I stopped it :)

Thanks, replied your other question in the other thread haha.

Haha. Ok. Got it.

Too late. I ordered one liao.

Well, I was playing ard w it. Noise processing is not as good as Nikon's. The only way I got around it was to shoot in RAW, export to Tiff, then resize to jpeg. What a long workflow...

Haha

Why not from raw to jpeg directly?
