Few more photos taken during my trip recently. All by Sony A7RII and Voigtlander 15/4.5 V3. The perfect super wide compact combo for business trip especially when pair with the Nokton 40/1.4 and the Ricoh GRII for snap.

anyway the front dial on my A7 developed a problem and is now loose and unresponsive.. not sure if i accidentally pressed on it hard during travel but sure that i didnt drop it. that same dial is the one i use to control aperture when using minolta AF lenses (a-mount) on LA-EA4 adapter. no idea how much it would cost for repair but since i have other option of adjusting the aperture on the A7 (via remote shutter on sony playmemories app) i would probably leave it alone for awhile since knowing sony, it would probably cost a few hundred bucks just to fix that front dial. ( i am already imagining water seepage as a potential reason since i do use the body even on a heavy downpour on many occasion.)

A few months back I have been to China JiuZhaiGou.
this is one of the shots I got and I find there are strange flares in the image. Is that caused by the UV filters?
I was using B+W XS-Pro filter
Gear: a7R II + 1635ZA

It's called lens flair/internal reflection. Chances are higher if camera face the sun.Photo over exposed, could do better with circular polarising filter for the foreground and reflection of the bright part of the sky ,darkens sky too (more blue).

Here are few examples of lens flair you can see:

Can use lens flair creatively...see at middle of article.

If expertly used as in flicker?

Thanks, the window photo of the second link is very creative indeed!

Hi, newbie here!! I've been using Sony a7II and couple of VC lenses for a year. Actually thinking about acquiring the VC 21 ultron but those 12mm pics here are really poisonous. Now I'm considering the VC 10mm instead T_T.

My contribute, shot with Sony a7II and VC15v3
MBS from Gardens by the bay by Tung Thanh, on Flickr

Best,
