Sony A7/(r) image sharing thread #3

Taken with A7rii and FE35f28
I was actually testing the DR of this camera coming from the A7R. I decide not to use any external lighting or reflectors etc...and just shoot as it is and wanted to see how much i could edit the raw files to simulate the lighting in post production vs doing it via lights. Overall, the IQ is similar to the original a7r but the editability is actually much better.

Thanks Chip. I managed to buy a Sony HVL-43AM fish this afternoon, thanks to Martini's recommendation. Got the original adapter for it too. Martini even loaned me his FE55/1.8 to test out.

The flash sits about 1cm off the hotshot on the adapter. Not easy to use adapted lenses but thankfully for focus peaking, I can manage to focus accurately.

Ha ha, Martini is trying to poison you, isn't he? ;)

I used Nissin i-40 Flash instead of any Sony 43 series Flash to maintain the compact of the mirrorless A7 body! The Sony Series are design for the Sony SLR series.

I think he already poisoned me. I am saving up to get the FE55/1.8 lens. How is the i40 from Nissan? Is it very good? I might get it only when the Sony flash fails.

Using with the Chinon 50/1.4 and the K85/1.8 takes practice. Will try out my Sear 135/2.8 with macro when I start hols.
