its considered light compare to its bigger sibling 1635/2.8. There are times I leave it in the hotel and carry only the range finder lenses

I find the weight ok but a bit bulky with the hood. With B+W filter and caps, it around 600g. I used to bring CV12 (310g with Hawk's adapter) + FE35 (150g) before I bought the lens. It adds up to be around 450g (3/4 of the weight) and smaller package. But I lose the flexibility (AF and zoom).

LOL this and FE55 is what I bring when I go out with family. Easy to manage while carrying my daughter I brought the A mount 85mm f2.8 during this USS trip to "snipe" but never really got around to use it :/
