Well. not just the 5 axis stabilizer.
The grip..the buttons layout and material used for the body as well.. Those are consideration too.

It really depends on individual. Your Budget and what you want or need.
 

Guys, if u are looking for a A7 II, u can get one for $4500 incl of gst, in Plaza Angsana, JB. But no gst refund as it is not a registered outlet.

There's no such thing as International Tourist Warranty for Sony cameras.

International Warranty means that you can claim any repair or services under warranty, at almost everywhere in the world as long as the manufacturer specifies where you can get it serviced.

What you have is Tourist Limited Warranty which means a local warranty conversion which in this case if you're living in Singapore and converted it for Singapore, the warranty will only be applicable within Singapore.

One of the drawbacks of buying overseas though, is the lack of the online registration in the local MySony database. You forgo notification of events, notifications and news et cetera

Hi guys,I have the most unfortunate experience of having my entire camera bag stolen in HCM airport where I lost my almost brand new A7S, 35, 55, 16-35 and my macbook air, which are less than 2-3 mths old. I would like to source for a cheaper replacement and chanced upon this thread that malaysia might be an alternative place to get a cheaper price. I would like to ask on the following queries I have.

1.) Warranty of camera body and lens. How does it work?

2.) Future servicing of camera body and lens when out of warranty in SG. Any issues?

You need to convert the warranty at an authorized dealer. Not sure which shops are authorized though.

Perhaps you can check on Sony's Malaysia site.

As for servicing, you need to bring the tourist warranty along.
 

From what i understand, international tourist warranty only apply to certain Sony products only and does not cover cameras and lenses.
And only certain dealers are authorized to issue international tourist warranty.

If u were to buy from Malaysia..especially from JB, you can bring back the camera to the shop and they will forward it to the service center for u. From my experience..it is unlikely that the camera will hv issue during the first one year or so...unless u are very unlucky. Just make sure that u check the camera thoroughly before buying.
 

Hello all. I am planning to get the A7II with FE 90mm Macro and either the kit lens 28-70 or the 24-70F4. Just wondering, anyone here has used the kit lens FE 28-70 and FE 24-70F4 before and whether is it worth the money to get the 24-70F4 over the kit lens, or i should just live with the kit zoom lens if it is not that much of a difference, for general photography. Thanks all!

I searched the forums and found a shop called Boeing but would like to avoid Sungai Wang Plaza because of recent events and its general reputation (akin to our Sim Lim Square).

Would appreciate it if anyone else could share their experience buying a camera in KL.

You may visit YL camera in Pudu Plaza. I bought my A7II there last month.

Got two reputable shops at Angsana.
 

You can try the camera shop at KSL also. Get online quote before going will usually get a better price.
 

Is there any issue working the A7ii in cold (-5 to 0C) or humid condition such as condensation/moisture/battery life? Anyone can share their experience? Thanks!
