The Reps are covering their asses when the 2012 elections come around and when they desperately need presidential campaign fund contributions by the super rich.
So they block Obama's tax increase on the super rich at any cost. (tax cuts on super rich were previously given by Bush)
The Reps did not consider the suffering of the ordinary people in the USA.
