The selective art of highlighting can be comparaed to the use of spices in cooking. Use it correctly and in the right place and time. This goes beyond the technical knowledge of color manipulations. Do try to put in some thought b4 you attempt the next photo.

hmm the last few is abit nicer... for a newbie like me lah haha...
i am also new to photography but not to graphics...
the point of highlighting should be soothing but yet appealing and direct...
therefore the first few it will seems too harsh and over direct le...
but the last few appear much more soothing... i do like the couple wedding one but hor perhaps instead of black and white try fading ?

sometimes you should try to highlight things in a different tone, like have the whole image in sephia or any monotone and highlight your subject. Dont just play with greyskale. thats just my 2cents

perhaps you might like to take away the "ps" skills and focus on the picture instead ... i guess you already have an eye for composition; the rest is the theme of the picture flow ...
