#93 Toa Payoh Central ... The New Age

A resident leaving there, told me that the new buildings in Toa Payoh Central were completed in the Year 2007. It's been 6 years. Look at the changes ... I have been quite active in TPY Central since 2002. I, indeed seen many changes throughout the years. How will our country be in the next 20-30 years? Will it be like this? Or what?

That will be for the younger generation to find out... I might not be that lucky to live for that long to see ...

#94 Skyline View - Panoramic View of Stadium Walk, Tanjong Rhu Rd and Marina East

Use of my old and handly 50mm f1.4 to do this. It was a hectic process for my computer as it couldn't really handle it well. And CS6 wasn't really good in panoramic processing. Time to upgrade my com and find a new pano software. Cheers!

Try Hugin. It's free & good. Abit cluttered but you'll figure it out!

#95 A New Sail

Marina Bay Cruise Centre, is a new cruise terminal in Singapore, located at Marina South next to the Marina South Pier. It receives is first ship, the Voyager of the Seas, on May 26, 2012. The official opening ceremony of the MBCCS was on Oct 22, 2012. A beautiful architecture, just like another big ship dock on a harbor.

#96 Lumos

Single RAW Exposure

I think this is my first time taking a shot of a silhouette feeling. I kind of like this rendition, thus would like to share with all of you. I thought the Sun will stay hidden behind the thick clouds but after a few minutes, LUMOS! It rises and outshine the world.

Lumos: from the movie Harry Potter, The Wand-Lighting Charm (Lumos) is a charm, a light-creation spell, used to illuminate the tip of the caster's wand; this light is fairly warm. If one charges the spell properly, it will appear lemon-yellow; if one over-charges it, the charm will appear as a vibrant scarlet.

Another exploration at Toa Payoh Central. A rather glorious morning.
In this part of Toa Payoh Central, notice that it did not really change much over the years, still the same, just renewed or renovated to look much better. Driveway has been built, taxi stands and a new mini-outdoor stage located in front of the Toa Payoh Central Library.

#98 The Core of the Nation

Yes, I believe this is the core of our nation, where people work hard to create a greater economy for our country, a great future for Singapore. (Sorry, aint no economist so pardon my words of choice.)

Anyway, black and white rendition ain't my type of style. But it will be worse off if it's color. The color version of this basically, are almost all wash out.

#99 Ghim Moh Last Look

Into the history book of Singapore very, very soon ... The evening at Ghim Moh was warm and windy at the same time. Yes, rather funny to have this 2 elements together at the same time. It was after days of heavy downpour and thunderstorm. And it was a day when the evening was quite clear but still with sign of rain approaching. I have decided to head to this area as it will be demolishing real soon. Wanting to get hold of this place, get hold of the tradition, get hold of the memories.

It will be my 100th image in this thread soon! Hoping that my 100th image will be one of my favourite location and one of my favourite among the many great images. Will be taking quite awhile as I will be searching high and low, up and down, carefully for the right one to be worthy of the 100th.

Thanks everyone for supporting and viewing my work. I will keep shooting and bring in better memories to all.

Looking forward to your 100th.

#100 Sometimes ... Someone

Here's the 100th. Simplicity at it's best. Chosen an emo title for it as I see through the viewfinder of my camera, makes me suddenly feel it and think about her. Hope all will be well for me in the end.

"Sometimes ... Someone ... makes me think of her ... But she doesnt know ... Will I be able to tell her ... Someday ... Sometime ... I hope ..."

Year 2 of University has just started and I'm already scratching my head every moment. Each day, I'm diving into the books for straight 3-4 hours. A huge difference in the knowledge compare to Year 1. But I hope to shoot at least once a week if time permits, to take time out and to enjoy the beautiful scenery at the Golden hours to free myself from the world of books and words.

#101 Keep Clear !

Another one from USR. A common view.

It's the high tide period here in USR. And a thunderstorm is coming my way as I saw flashes of lightning on the right sky of the horizontal.

Beautiful dramatic clouds and wonderful sight of the horizon as the sun glows from behind the clouds.

#102 Oasis Taiwan Restuarant

Single RAW Exposure

The restaurant has been in business for more than 38 years, located in the Toa Payoh Town Park.

For more than 38 years, the restaurant's mainstay has been the humble Taiwan porridge, a traditional staple for many Asians. The piping hot gruel is light, fat-free and easily digested.

Nice series. #98 is my favorite.
