Taking a break from my studies for awhile before the exam approach in May. Hence, I decided to take my camera out for a shoot. Hearing this place is about to be history, about to be part of our memory very soon, thus headed over here. Hazy sky with thunder roaring. I will definitely come back after my exam and hope to be able to be in a good weather condition.

#44 Gloomy Bay Rise

Single RAW Exposure

What a gloomy sunrise during the morning.

Was expecting a great sunrise when I decided to try a composition here but the clouds were not dispersing as the sun is rising.

The scene was calm despite the gloominess. It gives the morning a blue and serenity into the atmosphere.

For #47 and #48, I think you used a gradual ND?
The darkening of the block of houses is slightly too obvious I feel...

ahh... yes ...

any way which i could rectify it?

You can try to brighten it selectively. Just use layers, brighten and erase to taste.

Next time maybe when in such situation can consider doing HDR or manual blending. :)

#49 Evening at Punggol Beach (re-edited)

Fatigue gaining from work and raining every evening, making me hard to go out for a shoot. Hence, decided to do some things. Process using LR4 then use of Luminosity Masking Technique in CS6 and process through LR4 again. A new technique I'm exploring and learning, an interesting technique which I can control the highlights, shadows and midtones.
