I wonder if there is a recommended Teleconverter lens for the F828.
If you checked out the accessory booklet that came in your original box, there is no mention of a TC lens, but they have close up lens instead.

they don't becos i don't think the lens can take the additional weight of the teleconverter.

It's the kit with the bag isn't it? I don't think you can find it yet. I wanted to get that one myself the other day, but now I'm glad I didn't. The bag won't fit an external flash. Better get a separate bag.

Hi, sorry I didn't make it clear enough. I saw it on the website (sonystyle.com), and went looking for it to Sony Galleries and few other shops, but couldn't get it. It wasn't available yet. Then I ended up with a Crumpler which can take my F32X. That's why I'm glad I didn't get the Sony kit.

I've bought the MagicStor 2.2GB..for SGD299..its true..according to the guy from the shop..Its so chep coz they clearing stocks..It is made in China though..1 year warranty from the shop itself..with receipt as proof of purchase..
I'm taking the big risk of buying it..hope it doesn't fail me!! Threw almost my whole month's NSF pay into it!! Eastgear owner..i know u reading this..dun sabo k? thanks.. =p but i must thank him for letting me try the CF card on my 828 there after failing to find proof the card supports 828.. =]

Sweat.. :sweat: drop also cannot... I dropped my CF cards at least once, so I better not get MDs!! Not worth it, man!

The risk is definately there, but I always think that no matter if u buy CF of MD, if your luck is no good, anything can fail also. Actually I heard more stories of CF failing than MD failing.

This guy went on a Safari with 2 4GB MD and 4 1GB MD, and of course, his 2nd most uses camera is the F828 .

I remember he mention in other articles that he has been using the 1GB MD for 3 years, no issue at all.

Hmmm, maybe because there are more CF users than MD users.

Anyway, the idea is: if you handle CF and MD the same way (meaning you drop, you bump), the MD will spoil easier because of moving mechanical parts.

Yup, agree with u on this. But even on daily basis I won't go bumping and dropping my CF just for fun. hehe... most of the time is unintentional, its just that MD will have a higher chance of failure in case these situation does happens.

Anyway, I hope prices of 1GB CF and above will go down, since PMA 2004 started, all other manufacturers have announce their 8mp cameras. This means more cameras need bigger storage to accomodate for their bigger photo size. This is the year of the 8MP !
