Some of my video clips' audio have intermittent static and popping sounds. What available easy to use software/ freeware are there to fix this problem?

Most audio software should be able to remove these problems. Just search online. In normal cases those that are classified as DAW ( digital audio workbench ) that amateur and professional recording engineer or musician use. An old software is audacity.
I think it's free
but there are lots more some shareware and open source.

Most good video editing software will have adequate audio tools to clean up sound track too.

Edit: Intermittent static and pops can be caused by windows 10 sound, power settings and latency issues. Set your sound to 16 bits instead of 24 bits. Video gives more details.

I don't like Audacity (free), so won't recommend it to you.

Thanks for the reply so far. Keep it coming. Look forward to using freeware.
