Software to burn .mts into DVD to maintain the HD quality

Hi,
I am using Vegas to edit my video and photo clips and render into 702(1280x720) .mts output.

I hope to burn the . mts file into HD DVD disc. I am currently using SONY DVD Architect V4.5 but that would only give me in DVD resolution which does not meet my intended objective.

My question to those experience users and pro, what SW (either free or commercial version) can be effectively used to burn my .mts output into a DVD while maintaining the HD quality for blue ray or playstation play back subsequently?

I have no intention to invest in a blue ray wirtter yet because the disc is still costly. I do not mind using DVD which is about 1/10 the storage capacity of the blue ray disc.

I found the approach to author HD video into DVD while keeping the HD quality.

I downloaded the trial version of Sothink HD Movie Maker and managed to successfully create three of my HD videos into DVD(AVCHD). I watched all three from my SONY PS3 and am satisfied with the good HD quality output.

The only catch is that this 30 days trial version only author 5 min max per clip.

My next question is, what other DVD authoring SW you have experienced that is good, easy to use and not so CPU hungry?

Any freeware out there could perform the same purpose ?

You can upgrade your DVDA 4.5 to 5 for free. It will allow you to burn high-def to standard DVD discs.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately , my Architect 4.5 is not the pro version, so not entitled to upgrade.
