Soaring price of fuel & film? Lucky Strike!

Let me help chiif answer your question. The lucky b&w is developed using the "b&w developing process". It is not a c41 b&w film like ur Kodak Tmax 400CN, Ilford XP2 Super. The lucky film is probably the cheapest you can get to practice ur photography or the developing workflow. Upz for chiif~

not too familiar with film. Does most shops do "b&w developing process"?

Roughly how much ya?

Wow, very cool Chiif.

I've been looking for Lucky SHD 100 in 120 format. It really is not that bad a film based on what I've seen it do in 35mm.

It may not be Ilford Delta (my gold reference standard for B&W) but it doesn't cost like Delta either.

Just tried a roll of color 100 & 200 this afternoon... initial scan blew me away.... will post some more presentable pics later.

Here is one taken with the 120. It never fail to amaze me.

very little levels correction and adjusted the exposure to correct the slight under exposure while shooting. That's all I did. Never even adjusted the contrast!

Yes, it's Saturday 4pm at Isle Cafe for correction. Just outside Jack's Benphoto. :)

Took this pic this afternoon.... as you can tell, very low light situation with ISO 100 and f4 wide open on the 25mm Color-Skopar LTM version (no range finder coupled), shutter speed is at 8s. Handheld. Not possible without the soft shutter release ;p

Anyway... no level adjustment, no contrast adjustment. Just neat from the scanner. :)

another one neat, without any color or levels adjustment. Just did a little sharpening.

Color-Skopar 25mm/f4 LTM

Just to defray the soaring cost of MRT, Bus, Taxi... I do mail order for Lucky Film...

here is the postage incl envelop & packing cost:

Postage for 2 to 4 rolls ... SGD2
Postage for 5 to 10 rolls ... SGD4
Postage for 11 to 20 rolls ... SGD5

I accept bank transfer for POSB or UOB.

Hope this will be good news for students and photographers who're looking for GOOD & AFFORDABLE film! :)

ARe you sure you could hand hold a 8s exposure?:bigeyes:

I believe you meant 1/8s exposure.

Great film!

This is amazing...
In that case, the soft shutter release is very powerful.

thats if u use a leica or TLR...It is possible even without the soft release provided the subject don't move. :p

You are saying you can hand hold an 8s exposure with a Leica or TLR???:o

i never go below 1/15 ;)

But can feel the different between a Slr against a leica or TLR camera. Less vibration due to lack of mirror slap, i never realise it too untill fellow CS members pointed out to me.

Nice!

Where is this??? reminds me of the olden days in Singapore! Gay World Stadium...

BTW... the B&W SHD100 has stopped production and no new production run will happen until they have enough orders... which don't know when. So.. if you really like this film, better stock up now.

Wow iso100 in such lighting.

Gay world stadium... free seating, smoking allowed and wooden seats.

Chiif, That was Ben Thanh market in Saigon. The whole of Saigon is a photographers dream. Tons of street life and a good mix of the grubby, the nostalgic, the kitsch, the chic and the opulent. It's like Hong Kong with less clutter.

BernardS,
Thanks. That was SHD100 pushed to 200 in Diafine. SHD100 pushes quite nicely in that soup.

Someone just clear all my Super 200.

I'm keep 10 rolls for my own consumption... ;p

Don't know when the next shipment will be... still left only 60 rolls of Super 100.
