Im referring to my camera M mode. I feel that for a continuous shot (burst fire 3) the 3 pictures side by side can have one more magenta and the other more greenish tone, without flash fired. Does the camera not capture the information fast enough? Sorry for changing topic TS, hope u dont mind.

i'd reckon you get the 450D instead. but if you're gona be just sticking to this body and the kit lens and no thoughts about upgrading or purchasing other (better) lenses, then perhaps the 1000D will do just fine for you. 450D, to me, would be a better long term investment. yup!

No budget (no specific amount), got budget (fixed amount of $$$). Correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

Opps, off-topic.

Oh. Sorry! In Singlish, "budget" refers to money..
So got budget, means got money.

My fault, sorry!

hi, may i know how much does the body 1000D cos alone without the kit lense??

If you go to stores that adheres to Canon's RRP, i doubt they'll allow you to buy the body alone as Canon retails the 1000D with kit lens only.

However, if you go to those good deals shop(John, AP etc), you can buy the body alone by subtracting the cost of the kit lens from the price. That is - $150. So you'll be paying $850 or so for the 1000D body alone.

thanks for the advice bros! One more question is the 1000D lens fixed for that body? Can the 1000D use lenses from the rest of the canon range?

Are you serious? You're not kidding when asking this question? I'm not being scastic but if you're asking for 1000D opinon, this is a question that will never be heard... This is DSLR, not those prosumer cams.... I'm worried.

Well, benefit of doubt, 1000D is a DSLR and yes, you can use all ranges of Canon EF and EFS lenses....if you're keen to explore Nikon lenses, you can always use an adaptor.

Hi, ya my 1Ds mkIII so far serves me well and very happy that i took a long time to think before investing... althought sometimes the AF system will encounter some issues ie 2 occasions it fails to achieve proper or correct focus resulting in soft focus images.. Do you have one? you face with some problems with the AF too?
