There's really no contest here. Both the RipVan and Maha chargers are well known worldwide and have won countless awards and rave reviews from PCPhoto, imaging-resource.com, steve-digicams.com.

GP is relatively unheard of outside this region. You can't even get complete specs on the GP chargers, so you be the judge.

As has been posted here, the RipVan is basically a Taiwan OEM rebranded with their brand. Maha is a major OEM mfg so quite respectable.

GP manufactures batteries and chargers.... the brochure is pretty comprehensive. Manufacturing a battery charger is hardly rocket science so how much difference can there be?

Sounds good BUT, what's the charging time like for say.. 1800mAh batts? I wouldn't want a super smart but slow charger...
 

output is 1600mA. about the same as GP Rapid.
