I declare I am absolutely innocent of any flames that occured on this thread. :angel:

Anyway have decided to live with that speck of dust on the lens. But a strange thing happened. I can't find the speck anymore. It has somehow disappeared! :sweatsm:

yeah.....put the rear cap and front cap on and keep in dry cabinet all the time. dont even think of removing the caps....then no dust will get in

when i first started photography it took minutes to change a lens cos must remove caps on lens and ensure no dust before putting back into back etc. now the lens in bag dont even have rear and front caps on. simple remove and put in bag and mount next lens.

worry too much about lens will miss photo one.

Minor dust....may already be in the lens......but due to movement ....it may just creep up to the lens....

HOw about giving it some shake.....and see if the dust will just release itself from the lens element.....

BTW....small spec will not effect your pics......

I sent mine to Nikon Singapore for cleaning, and dust appeared on other areas even after cleaning... just accepted as long as it is not too visible.

Hi Catalyst, how much does it cost for nikon to suck out the dust?
