SLRR Moved - Bally Took Over Shop Location

some of you may know but some may not.

i came to know only a few days ago when i visited J316 and walked into the shop directly opposite J316 (level 4 Funan), thinking it was SLRR...which was the case some months back...

it turned out, the shop that was occupied by SLRR previously, is now tenanted to Bally...

fyi.... and hopefully, this isn't a repetition of info...

Do your homework right?
Ask if price is inclusive gst, check the physical good before handling over the money.
Reject all other items offered to you by the shop if ur not sure of the pricing

Be a happy man home and can save some bandwidth for the server

i dont think Bally or SLRR belonging to the same owners can affect any of us here... as long as you have done your homework, and the prices charged to you is reasonable, why not get from them? even Alan Photo were guilty of ripping ppl off, however if you know the market price for it, you can always bargain with them...

thanks for the info.... i didnt know SLRR moved and replaced by BALLY who have a pretty lousy reputation judging from the complaints lodged by CSers claiming to have been cheated by BALLY

I want to post my terrible shopping experience in BALLY PHOTO ELECTRONICS PET LTD today, .......

.......This is the beginning of the nightmare.......

Then, they asked me to pay the money total S$2020 first, then they will give me the camera. I was so naïve and paid the money ..........

......... He put everything into a plastic bag and throw it out of his store and asked me to go.....

Heard that there is more than 13 Camera Shops under this same owner with different names of shops.

if SLRR and Bally Photo really related, might have some impact on consumers visiting it.

But on the hindsight, you don't like brother A, you still can be ok with brother B right?

But, the kid's behaviour lies a lot with the parent and the values they communicate also.

I for one, will be wary if I have to buy something from SLRR (for convenience, might just avoid?)

I was at SLRR on Sunday but didn't really check if it is still call SLRR or bally..but think the sales person still the same.. SLRR's prices was pretty good previously..hope it remain the same...

The shop space taken over by Bally doesn't have a sign, so it neither say Bally nor SLRR. Why they leave it blank is up to interpretation.:dunno:

I went in to that used to be SLR Revo shop before, the guy quoted me a street price as the same as TK, AP, etc..

When I walked in to the shop, this is what I do,

I was with a friend, I started looking at lenses,

Shop: Yes, is there anything i can help you ??

Me: Ignored ["So, next week, shoot which model ar ? I thinking to use 70-200 f2.8 L" talk to my friend]

Me: Arr.. Yes.. do you carry the Canon 85mm f/1.8 USM ??

Shop: Ermm.. wait a moment, let me check.. yes, we have, $570 with GST but no stock..

Background [2 shop helper who knows nothing]: eh brother [to his partner in shop], got any new songs anot ar ?? i want to download and listen leh..
