just recently got my FM2n & 50/1.4 Ai-S i choose it over AE-1P coz of 1/250 sync & 1/4000 max shutter speed. but i find it abit non-compact compared to RFs.

is there an RF(preferably affordable) with the same sync speed & fast shutter speed (or close)? and im only planning to use 50mm f/1.4 lens.

TIA!

I had also been looking around for such a camera and found that Contax G2 may be close to what you want but it may cost quite a bit.

i saw this fine G2 with CZ 45mm f/2 at ebay.

but is friggin ~S$1.5K.:bigeyes::bheart:

if i recall correctly,

m6 / m7 1/1000, sync 1/50

bessas (and RD1) 1/2000, sync 1/125

m8 1/8000, sync 1/250

That would have to be the HEXAR RF . 1/125 flash sync. Topspeed of 1/4000. AE exposure. Used but good condition pretty cheap. Use that with the CV40/1.4. Shld meet yr needs.
Best of luck.

Hi, looking for a compact and low-cost rangefinder, and considering the Canonet QL17. Does anyone have experiences with it?

Note: There are is one currently on sale @ eBay SG.

It is pretty sharp and good camera. If you are intending to get one, make sure that the rangefinder patch is bright, a camera of that age may have its patch a little dim.

You also cannot find the mercury battery; however, there are similar batteries you can use (such as the hearing aid ones and Weincell batteries).
