Hi,
Anyone knows if this tripod can be used for KM5D? Is it too light/small for DSLR camera?

it too light for the km5d not recommend....cos i had one myself only used it a ad hoc monopod during the event shoot

Thanks.. someone selling at B&S with Manfrotto 484RC2 Ball Head..

I used it with Canon 300D/20D attached with light lens. Still workable as long as you don't extend all the legs and centre column fully.

Just like mpenza, I use Sprint Pro on 350D but usually I only extend the first leg then knee down.
Shop owner said it's intended for compact camera only.

I'm still using the Slik Sprint Pro with Manfrotto 484RC2 Ball Head (same setup as the one sil is selling at B&S) for my Pentax Ds. Small compact zoom lens, no problem, faster bigger lens like 200/2.8 or 300/4.5, still useable (but as monopod most time ;)). Good compact solution. Go for it, and you got nothing to lose I guess for the price he's asking for :D

Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback, I think I'll go for the Slik Pro 330dx from cathay photo at S$122.. I'm looking for a tripod that works with my KM5D with all lens attached. :)

I use it as a travel tripod.

For myself, only using sprint pro mini.
My main consideration for tripod is for use overseas so it must be light weight for light equipment.

Had tried night shot with it without problem.

But if you are getting heavy lens, then go for better tripod.

same here. It's nice to have a tripod+head that weighs less than 1kg ;p I even hang it off my belt sometimes!

Well, it's my only tripod. Tried some other tripods before, but ended up still keeping this one only. Really good and compact.

Can the head be changed to a 486rc2?

Yes, you can. But you'd feel the head (486rc2) is too heavy for the tripod, might be unbalanced. The 484rc2 is the best match :)
