You wouldn't be able to use hyperdistance focus unless you bring the chart along or you have a distance scale on your lens(scales on zoom lenses are useless though).

If you stopped down to f/11 or sometimes, even f/16, you will have enough DOF to render the entire frame in focus. Tke your time, learn to use DOF preview or push comes to shove, review your shots and re-shoot if necessary.

This was probably one of the reason why I didn't quite use the hyperfocal dist for most of my shots...even thou there are apps developed for it (both Android and IOS). But I find it "leh chey" to keep calculating for each shots :sweat:

No wonder i keep shooting in 18mm but i cant seems to get the "distorted" effect ,

It's very easy to set up and definitely faster than autofocus since you can prefocus every shot. You just need a scale to refer to.

You should look at Kit and other masters to get inspired...I'm just a newbie

That's true too... I think I still like to AF ;p

May one day try go on the "Hyperfocal Distance mode" and shoot the whole day with it :bsmilie:
