Skateboarding Photography - Tips?

50mm is nice.I started with built in flash,but it doesn't gives the type of effect i wanted.Here's one my shot with 2 flash.http://ngweibin.multiply.com/photos/album/1/BMX#13

well my friend suggested getting a 50mm f1.4 or 1.8 and my build in flash, do you think that would suffice?

Well i bet it is really fun !

An external flash will give you better result, if you can use 2 off camera flash will be even better. Since, bro binnn & screamedinfidelities are using the same system and has experience shooting these action photos, perhaps, it would be good if you all can meet up and do some experimenting.
