hi screambitch - widest i had was a 28mm. i did try going low and near but as mentioned, it was a little dangerous plus i really didn't know which way the stunts were going. and really didn't want to piss them off considering its a competition! haha. but perhaps once i get to know them, can try some other shots! :)

ah i see, skateboard photography is really fun. i used to skate myself, but now very seldom. just a few tricks here and there. prefer photography, much easier on the old bones.. lol..

but good captures nonetheless.

i used to skate myself too. but that was almost 17 years ago. seeing these kids, i wanted to go back to skateboarding. now with a park built for them, its so much easier. and it's a stone's throw from my house. my wife actually would like to see me skate again! haha. will see how it goes. still toying with the idea...;)

thanks dude! i did do trial biking before as well. (yes man of many hobbies, master of NONE). not BMX per se. i found it more tiring, and dangerous to the human body. keke.

think i had a santa cruz back then. concave decks were all the rage. nowsadays, its standard man.
 

Hey cool thread - like the pics! As well as modeling I like to turn my hand to photography too.. Here's my skate park shot... No skating going on I know! Also I have no idea how to post an image so hope this works

i actually bought a brand new setup 2 months back. foundation team deck, thunder trucks, speed metal bearings n spitfire 52mm wheels.. haha.
feel like skating man.. still can do all the basic stuff.. flips and grinds.
