Did u use external flash?
the built in flash is not good enough
just check yr exif
seem u use tungsten wb and at iso1600...
i would use iso 200 and set to awb for this kind of shot and read/set the exposure against any middle tone/grey object nearby the model

thanks .... oh yes, yesterday's set of pix has got all the WB screwed up. Just that the sharpness is not there IMO.

So looks like the Flash is a must!

I dun see a trace of fringing on these shots... btw, u went to Dunedin's Yellow Penguin Conservatory as well? I was using a 100-400mm... shiok!

Yes all taken with the 75-300/km5d combo
the lens is cheap but very good..get it during the harvey norman promotion at commex
except for the new face 2005[some colour correction] all just sharpening done as the exposure is spot on i dun need to do much post process

can't remember the setting exactly as my desktop is down currently and the original file is in there...now running off a old half dead p3 laptop

just watch out for the exposure and the km5d will take care of the rest(colour) for u:)

Heh...if anyone thinking of using the 75-300mm lens to do some "pseudo macro" work...heh...possible...here's some shots I took at Botanical Gdns...all done some levels adjustments tats all...

Sitex promo for the 5D today was only $1450 for all the freebies inclusive of the lens! Pity i just can't let go with the money at the moment :(

Yes, I got it for $1448! ;)

I was at Sitex on Sunday afternoon, but best price was still $1488 with additional 512MB CF, not the 70-300mm lens. But I got cold feet and decided not to buy. Anyway, not sure if it's good or bad that I didn't since price dropped even more at the end (I would really have hit my head against the wall).

By the way, I tested the D5, and noticed that the image quality on the LCD was really poor (compared to my Sony W1). Also when zooming in to view, it was pixelated. Could it have been the setting?
