You mean for $2375, it comes with 2 batts (Original kit bundle plus 1 more)??? Is the addtional one an CANON orginal or third party?

Just bought my 7D this afternoon from Parisilk HV. Paid in cash for the following:

7D body - $2375 with GST
(comes with 1 8GB Scandisk Ultra CF, 1 EL6B battery, Canon pro bag)
Extra EL6B battery - $120

Total $2495 cash and carry. Now charging the battery...
Forget about SITEX, you save $$$.

i tot they giving taka voucher in sitex?

I wanted to test the Sony A850 and Canon 7D..... Only low end models available for testing.... Waste of time to go there. Anyway, it is a known fact that Sitex is the smallest show among the 4 IT Expo.

The one in March and September will be better. Wait for IT 2010 around March. It will be big, Sigma will be there. Most likely to be in Suntec.

you have insights?
anyway the people at the canon booth are very rigid with the free gifts
my friend got rejected twice when he asked for more free gifts

My frd managed to get these freebies at SITEX. 2 8GB SDHC, EOS bag, user guide, tripod, extra battery, screen protector, UV filter. For 1299. You can always ask them to throw in more freebies.

That's what I got yesterday. :)
Plus the 270EX at $119.

After getting the body yesterday around noon, did some tests with my 50 mm f1.4, and 70-200 f2.8 indoor and outdoor, with and without flash. Sad to say I am not at all happy with the IQ - image a bit soft. I tested the same set up with my 30D and they came out better in most cases....

I was rather disappointed with the softness as reported by some other 7D users. I did not want to micro-adjust because I don't think I should be doing this at all for brand new body.

Finally decided to return the set to exchange for 5DMKII kit set in the evening - with top up from me...need to starve for the next few months... but am now very happy with the new toy.
