Wow..very nice photos..!

i have only dived in pulau aur before. sipadan is truly . your pics are lovely.

Nice photo...I can imagine water is very clear there.
I get used to dive in Tioman then I tried Bali, next year target is going to Lombok. Going to Sipadan cost a bomb but it's high on my list.
Your buddy so close to schooling jacks, were they spooked by him? I was quite pissed when in Tulamben people swim to the schooling jacks and spook them then schooling fish disappeared within second.

Thanks Knighthunter. This is only my second overseas dive after Bali in Aug this year to see Mola Mola but did not catch any. :( We will do our best in our life time to dive safely every year. I have decided to make only 2-3 trips a year but with more dive each trip. The visibility in Sipadan this time only so so as I was told. Surprisingly the schooling Jack was very happy to see us. :) I think we wasn't moving to aggressive towards them.

I think Sipadan is not crowded as Bali, especially like in Tulamben nice dive site lots of pelagic life but so many divers there like visiting shopping malls in Orchard underwater.

Since you mentioned. Is true. Think there were about 270 divers when we were at Bali. If I am Mola, I wont come out too cos I also dun like crowded shopping mall..

Some great shots!

How many days and which resort did you go with?

Thanks! :)

Thank you. Without the awesome guide, I won't be able to see all these wonderful sea life. Especially a Japanese dive guide Ms "RIKA". You can really see and feel she genuinely take her work very seriously. Constantly scouting for just about anything she can find and take the trouble to write down every detail with her diving slate and show to all of us. I have not experience any dive guide that demonstrated such dedication. Simply awesome.

Thanks evans. The resort was Sipadan Water Village. We were there 6 days but stay a night at Tawau to catch the next day flight. We have total 11 dive in 4 days excluding check out dive.

Thanks for the information! Maybe Sipadan will be the next dive vacation. :)

Wa, DoubleChin, I am envious that u saw the jawfish leh!
Been to Tulamben 2x & didn't feel that it was crowded... Maybe was off-peak season? (Aug & Mar) Or maybe we managed to avoid the day trip crowds, since we were staying at Tulamben itself... Saw groups of divers at the beach but once at the wreck, didn't see many other divers, maybe because the Liberty Wreck is really quite big & every small group managed to find their own patch to explore.
Actually was feeling that it was crowded when diving at Sipadan & also Layang Layang during early May this year because each boat had only 1 DM & there would be at least 8 divers to 1 DM.
Maybe I'm just used to diving in big groups anymore...

Hahahaha! Thanks! I didn't know it was a Jaw fish till recently. Will be even more lucky if there is brood of eggs in their mouth. I never knew what I was shooting most of time. Very not wise!!! Got quite close to shoot a potential angry and aggressive trigger fish which I thought look pretty harmless. A dive instructor later point it out to me. Dun play play boy! :bsmilie:

I like the school of jacks' close up & orang utan crab. Lovely...

Sigh...sipadan is still my dream place to be...
