I was told I am his first customer from Malaysia. So far, have bought three CV lenses and accessories. Very obliging and responsive dealer. Have even met him personally when he came to KL.
I can whole-heartedly recommend this guy if you're ordering from Malaysia.

Thank you... Thank you Doc... You are a good customer too! Hope your M6 servers you well... and stay on 35mm. :)

I used to own a manual film SLR camera (Pentax K1000). Have gone digital using K100D now. I really like those old lenses from film days.

I was hoping that I can find M39/L39 to M42 adaptor (M39/L39 to Pentax-K adaptor would be even better) so that I can mount Voigtlander lenses on my camera. But I'm also wondering if I may face infinity-focus or mirror-jamming problems because of differences in camera lens flange-to-film/sensor distances.

Hi Mr AlvinCSLee,

Sorry, I do not carry the adapter you are looking for. You might want to check out www.cameraquest.com . Not sure whether there is one L-M42 or L-K adapter ring you are refering to.

I'm also not sure whether there will be a compatible issue here. Just be careful when you try, the mirror might scratch the rear lens or the other way round. The LTM or RF lenses normally protrude close in to the shuttle.

Maybe some guru on this forum can shed some light on this... Mr Yol925, care to comment?

Thanks for reply.

I guess RF lenses, being made for compacts that have no mirror boxes, will have rear elements near the shutter plane... hence there is real danger of mirror hitting the lens... unless I keep it away with extension tubes... which will naturally cause infinity-focus loss.

But perhaps like the Voigtlander 125mm/f2 lens for Canon EOS, there may be one built for M42 or Pentax K-mount. Just my guess. :) Looks like they do have Voigtlander-to-M42 adaptors (http://www.cameraquest.com/adapt_deckel.htm)

Hi Mr AlvinSCLee,

The "Deckel Adapters: Voigtlander Bessamatic / Ultramatic / Retina S Lenses to Pentax 42 Bodies" is not for the Leica Thread mount or M-mount lens. It's the old old classic SLR camera lenses by Voigtlander (pre-1970s).

If you want to try Voigtlander lenses on K-mount bodies, I have them on M42 and you need to use your usual adapter to mount on your K-mount bodies.

Currently available on M42 mount are: 40mm/f2 , 125mm/f2 & 180/f4 .

No more K mount SLR lenses available.

The 125mm/f2 is highly rated. Customers who have bought these lens and use it on their digital bodies only have one universal comment.....

In fact, it rolled out from the same factory as the Zeiss ZF, I suspect they just rebadge it... save manufacture cost. Just kidding... I might get sued for making a hypothesis statement. But you need to see for yourself to believe a lens that cost SGD920 is this well made. I do have the AIS and EOS mount 125mm/f2 in stock. (1 pc each)

Voigtlander do not intend to carry on production SLR lenses anymore. So, the 125mm/f2 will be a collector's item in days to come.

Thanks for the comprehensive info :) Now I understand Voigtlander better.
